Core Stabilization and Strengthening has been a hot topic in fitness for some time. I have developed theĀ revolutionary Core By The Cord Program. This is a core strengthening program for those on a budget, and blends well into your fall and winter cross training schedule.
To begin, ask around for names of elderly or disabled persons that use wood to heat their homes. Contact them to request their support in allowing you to stack their firewood as it arrives at their home for free. They save money, you get a workout.
The basic exercise is based on the transport capacity of your average wheelbarrow, 20 pieces of firewood. An average cord of wood may contain about 600 pieces of firewood. Each interval is designed to utilize 1 cord of firewood. After a good warm-up, Coffee or Cocoa works well, reach down and pick up one piece of firewood and place it in the wheelbarrow. Repeat this 20 times (remember to leave that piece in the wheelbarrow and get a new one each time, or this exercise will last until exhaustion) Now wheel the load to the location of the stack and unload, one piece at a time. This is considered a single set and will require about 30 sets to complete. A quick way to note this in your training plan is the following: CCx20/30

Great post here, you know, I never really gave it much thought how critical it is to keep in shape and ready. There’s no difference if it’s for events of crisis and top shape will assist yank yourself and the next person through, or if it’s in common, everyday living when preparedness is important for normal health and wellbeing. I say, exercise, do core training, and you’ll be ready for all. That’s for sure!
