I’m off to my first official Graduate course… Ethics and Professionalism for Psychologist. My pre-class chapters are read and I’m ready for all the challenges, stress, and amazing experiences that await me for the next 2-5 years depending on how “ambitious” I get over the course of this semester. Here’s the entrance sign that I will be passing many, many, many times to come…

Report from Pacific Grove September 15, 2008

The Triathon at Pacific Grove, CA was a major success for all involved.  Once again we had a superb time watching the competitors push themselves and ACHIEVE, and of course it was also quite gratifying to see people respond so positively to our message of LIVE YOUR PASSION.  The course involves an infamous swim start called “the kelp crawl” … there wasn’t much the racers could do but dive right in and plow through it as fast as possible. Watch this short video of the men’s 25-29 start to and you can see how it earned its name:

Masters Track Nationals September 8, 2008

We had a great time down in San Jose on Saturday night watching Jen Triplett win her points race (I should restate that:  we watched Jen dominate her points race, which involved lapping the field and looking like she was going to pedal hard enough to burn her tires off).  Jen grabbed a couple Nationals titles during the week of racing and it was fun to see her take a Best All-Around rider award too.  Below are a couple pics (sorry, I’m bad at “action” photography).  Congrats, Jen!

Matthias Giraud’s News: Jeremy McGhee August 26, 2008

Filed under: Giving Back, Outdoors, PEOPLE, Passions, Skiing, injury, inspiration — Matthias Giraud @ 12:06 pm

Looks like I missed a couple posts over the last couple weeks. So, to make it up to you guys, here is something on Jeremy McGhee. Jeremy was in a very bad motorbike accident in his early 20’s and has been in a wheelchair since. This was of course a big change in his life but he chose to still live the dream instead of letting himself down.
