Miles Daisher and myself jumped off the Perrine Bridge in Twin Falls, ID with a new type of camera. It is a 2360 camera developed by Immersive Media in Portland, OR that shoots every angle around you when you wear it. You can really see everything! Check out the footage if you have a minute. Good times! If you click on the immersive media link, you can switch to every view just by using your computer mouse.

This week it is Shane McConkey’s turn to be on Areyoulivingit.com and this guy is for sure living it! While traveling through Norway, he got to “work” on a new project. He calls it Canyon Flying. Pretty sick!

All right, it is already time for the second post of the week. Here is the trailer of the new documentary produced by ABC reporters Dan Barth and Chase Ogden. It is called “That Beautiful Moment” and is based on the human story and adventure of the Engineer Mountain ski BASE jump which was a 4 year project. Hello everyone,

This is my first post for Are you living it? Got an email from James a few weeks back asking if I wanted to post some stuff on the website and my answer was of course “YES”! This is a cool website for outdoor freaks and active people which is what I am all about. Anyway, to start with something cool, I wanted to dedicate this first post to Jesse Hall. Jesse is a freak of nature. He won the US Extreme Freeskiing Championships in Crested Butte in 2005, was national champion in 2005 as well and placed in tons of big mountain skiing events. But, Jesse is also a sick BASE jumper. In fact, Jesse is my BASE mentor.

We’re stoked that Matthias Giraud will be blogging here at Are You Living It… it’s fun to imagine the cool stuff he’s going to tell us about in the months to come. Ever get the feeling that someone has just barely begun an incredible career? Well, that’s how we feel about Matthias.  The dude is going to blow some minds.  That’s for sure.  As a welcome, below is a re-broadcast of an interview we did with him a few months ago. Enjoy:

Matthias finds something new to jump from:

Twenty four year-old, French-born pro skier, Matthias Giraud (www.matthiasgiraud.com) recently became the first known person to BASE jump off of Engineer Mountain (12,978′) in Southwestern Colorado.  Today Matthias spent some time with Are You Living It?’s James Schaffer to talk about the jump, how he started in the extreme sport, and what his plans are for the future.
